Changes at BRANNY
August 29, 2011
Dear BRANNY Members:
Please join me in thanking Patti Pepe for her years of hard work and dedication as Executive Officer for Builders &
Remodelers Association of Northern New York. As you all know, in addition to her full time position at the Chamber,
Patti has juggled her schedule to be BRANNY’s EO. Currently Patti’s schedule does not allow increased time needed
for BRANNY to grow and prosper in these challenging and ever changing economic times. I encourage you all to
attend our September 21st meeting to express your personal thank you’s to Patti. She will be missed at BRANNY.
BRANNY has entered into a mutually beneficial agreement with Capital Region Builders & Remodelers Association
(CRBRA) to handle BRANNY’s administrative duties. Pam Krison will serve as BRANNY’s Executive Officer
effective immediately as we transition information. Pam has been the Executive Officer for CRBRA for over five years
and has strong affiliation with NYSBA and NAHB. This is a natural progression for BRANNY and other local home
builders associations around the country are following this lead.
Pam is looking forward to meeting many of you at the September 21 BRANNY Membership Mixer scheduled at West
Side Grille, West Mountain. Details to follow next week.
If you have any questions regarding this recent change at BRANNY, please contact me or any one of the Board
Members.
Best regards,
Joe Dolan, President

BRANNY & Crandall Park Beautification Committee Building a Field House of Dreams
The Builders and Remodelers Association of Northern New York (BRANNY) has contributed $1000 to the Crandall Park Beautification Committee to rebuild the Field House at Crandall Park. The members of BRANNY have also committed to supplying materials and labor to see the project to fruition. BRANNY is a professional trade organization affiliated with the New York State Builders Association (NYSBA) and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). It consists of approximately 150 local members. Groundbreaking is scheduled for early fall of 2007 with a spring 2008 completion.
The existing Field House was constructed in 1921 near the pond and served as a warming hut for ice skaters, until it was moved to its current location. An addition was built in 1931. The building, which has fallen into disrepair, is used year round. Plans for the new Field House include basement space with potential utilization as dressing rooms for performers from the amphitheatre performances, such as the recent GE sponsored concerts. There will also be increased energy efficiency and heightened curb appeal for this edifice along one of the City’s primary corridors.
